We are planning to repeat our guided walks around the Brunswick Street Cemetery in September 2014. The walks are led by Barry Franklin, Alan Griffin, Allan Jennings and Nigel Briggs.

The initial series of walks was in June and July. The first walk in the afternoon of Thursday, 26th June, was blessed with excellent weather. In the introduction we were told that the cemetery was first developed by Leamington Parish Church and then extended by the forerunners of Warwick District Council. Our guides on this occasion were Barry Franklin, Alan Griffin and Allan Jennings and they took us to about twenty graves and explained who the people were, how they came to be buried at the place and why they deserved special mention. We were shown images of many of these people. Thirty-six people attended and there was general enthusiastic approval of the research which had been carried out and the way the walk was conducted.

A book with details of 17 people who are buried there was available but all copies have been sold!

The walks commence at the central entrance on Brunswick Street.
NOTE – There is no parking inside the cemetery.
