Rev Arthur Margoschis was born in Leamington Spa in 1852. He died of ill-health at a relatively young age in 1908 in India. He had dedicated his life to the people of the village of Saan Palhu (now known as Nazareth) in Tamil Nadu in South India.

A Blue Plaque in his memory was unveiled in November 2025 at No 107-109 Regent Street in the town.
